Multi-functional Three-shaft Mixer for High-viscosity Materials Mixing
● The multi-functional three-shaft mixer integrates many functions such as low-speed stirring, high-speed dispersion, wall scraping, emulsification and other functions through the stirring and mixing of high and low speed stirring paddles. Through the combination of various forms of high and low speed blades, a mixer with various stirring functions can be formed, which greatly improves the mixing efficiency of materials and can be used for mixing and stirring of high-viscosity materials; widely used in coatings, Inks, adhesives, dyes, inks, colorants, fine chemicals and other industries.
● This machine integrates the functions of low-speed strong stirring and high-speed dispersion, and has good adaptability to medium and high viscosity and thixotropic materials. For stirring and dispersion, it can be carried out at the same time, and the ideal effect can be obtained. This machine is suitable for stirring, dissolving and dispersing and toning of various materials.
Working principle
Triple-Shaft Mixers have a center-mounted low-speed Helical or Anchor Sweep blade sweeping the mixing vessel wall and two additional high-speed shaft(s). The high-speed blade(s) typically provide high shear to disperse or dissolve ingredients. The low-speed blade feeds the high-speed blade (s) by blending and folding the mass in the vessel and improves product uniformity by scraping the walls. Triple-shaft mixers are most often used to mix medium to high viscosity products. A high-speed disperser alone has a limited zone of influence in viscous products, so the low-speed blade is necessary to achieve a homogeneous mixture. When equipped with scrapers, the low-speed blade also aids in heat transfer. Multi-shaft mixers are sometimes used with low viscosity products when scraping the vessel wall is beneficial. A Rotor Stator can also be used as the third shaft. The Rotor Stator provides mechanical and high hydraulic shear that is useful in the disintegration of solids into liquids or emulsification.
